A significant increase of autoimmune diseases and degenerative nervous system diseases has come with the steady increase of poor diet, lifestyle choices and environmental and household toxins. Multiple sclerosis (MS) is just one disease that is affecting the lives of many and their families.
There is a popular believe that there is no coming back from this chronic disease. However, there are simples steps that can be taken that may prevent or reduce nervous system degeneration and greatly improve quality of life. There are many factors to consider when treating a patient with MS and by following a naturopathic treatment plan that incorporates all of these factors it is possible to improve a patient’s health outlook.
It is vital to determine each patient’s nutritional status before commencing treatment. Refined sugars, artificial sugars, stimulants and nutritionally empty processed food make a regular appearance in many people’s diet. Such processed foods are a recipe for disaster when it comes to nervous system health.
Cigarette smoking is linked to MS.
Artificial sugars (such as aspartame and sucralose) found in soft drinks; energy, low-calorie sugar substitutes (such as Splenda and equal) or weight loss bars and chewing gums are all known for their toxic effect on the nervous system.
Refined sugars derived from cane, corn and beet have an excitatory effect on neurotransmitters and are quite abrasive and damaging while circulating in the body. Aspartame is one of the more common artificial sweeteners and it consists of aspartic acid, phenylalanine and methanol. This combination of chemicals causes neuronal cell death via its excessive executory effect.
MS is a hardening of the myelin sheet that cover nerve fibers. Therefore adequate levels of protein and healthy fats will allow for repair and regeneration of myelin sheath. Methanol and its toxic metabolite formaldehyde is thought to play a role in the development of extreme cell damage leading to a buildup of lesions and scar tissue throughout the nervous system and DNA damage.
MS patients show signs of brain shrinkage – a significant reduction of functioning brain cells due to DNA damage and starved mitochondria. The methanol produced by one packet of cigarettes is equivalent to the methanol liberated from one litre of diet coke. If you drink soft drink and smoke you may have the beginning of chronic nervous system degeneration.
Glyphosate (Round Up) is linked to MS as well as other chronic conditions such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.
Glyphosate can insert itself into a DNA protein synthesis and ‘pretend’ to be Glycine. This is another mechanism of neuronal toxicity due to the fact that sugar beets contain an analog of proline (part of Glycine) called Adze.
Remarkably, a correlation exists between MS frequency and proximity to sugar beet agriculture. Myelin sheet contains proline which is absolutely essential for its proper function.
Glyphosate interferes with many physiological pathways in the human body.
Patients with MS are often ill informed, malnourished and confused. An appropriate diet and nutritional supplements can down-regulate a potentially overactive immune system which is beneficial for an MS patient. Food and other allergens, heavy metal toxicity, viruses and bacteria are also contributing factors. There is evidence that, for instance, Neisseria Meningitis and Streptococcal infections are present in MS.
The Metatron (NLS), available in our Clinic has the ability to detect any harmful pathogens anywhere in the body including the brain and zap them in conjunction with a naturopathic treatment. Once all causes of MS are identified, a comprehensive naturopathic treatment is prepared.
