Does chronic urinary tract infection put your life on hold?

Chronic Urinary Tract Infection’s (UTI’s) are being seen more frequently in both men and women. Why? Antibiotics are often the first line of treatment and in just a few weeks after finishing an antibiotic, the symptoms of a UTI return.  The antibiotic resistance that is occurring is a significant problem amongst all diseases that are caused by bacteria.

The symptoms of UTI may range from frequent urination, cloudy urine, painful urination, and painful intercourse, pain in the lower abdominal area and even in the kidneys.

There are two causes of the increase and diversity of bacterial overgrowth – antibiotic overuse and the ecological disruption that is increasing in the human population.

People can get infected with Mycoplasma in a number of different ways ranging from sexual intercourse, kissing, oral sex, by inhaling, feces contamination, saliva, food or blood. Mycoplasma has been found in ticks, fleas, scabies, mosquitoes, lice, flies, dragon flies and midges.

How can you protect yourself from mycoplasma invasion?

  1. Reduce the fire of inflammation

Keeping inflammation in check is crucial as Mycoplasma takes advantage of areas that are already inflamed.

2. Keep parasites and viruses under control

Coinfections with parasites and viruses are in common in people infected by Mycoplasma. Interactions occur between those species, and different species of Mycoplasma exchange their genetic material, sharing the information, collaborating and form a biofilm.

3. Improve your immune status

Mycoplasma also called “cell wall deficient’ bacteria changes shapes to avoid detection by the immune system. Therefore a skilled naturopath needs to assess at what stage and form the Mycoplasma is in and whether it is a UTI, Lyme or mould related infection and if other body organs are affected as well.

Mucur racemosus mould is often present in immune compromised patients.

4. Improve your nutritional status

As the genes of Mycoplasma is so small, Mycoplasma depends on the host and robs them of their nutrients. Mycoplasma scavenges for nutrients like amino acids, DNA components, lipids, phosphates, minerals and vitamins like Zinc, Vitamin A, E and N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) and so on.

NAC supplementation strongly inhibits tissue oxidation and inflammation.  This supplementation is a must in a in patient with mycoplasma as inflammation breaks down collagen and causes intracellular damage and fusion of mycoplasma with targeted tissue in the body .  NAC is strongly mucolytic (enhance production of protective mucus) which protects the cilia (hair like structures) of the body as Mycoplasma prefers to travel where the cilia is in the body is.

What are the most common Mycoplasma strains found in the urinary track?

The most common Mycoplasma detected by the Metatron NLS are Ureaplasma Urealiticum, Ureaplasma Parvum, Mycoplasma Hominis, Mycoplasma Genitalium, Chlamydia Trachomatis, Gardnerella Vaginalis. Once infected, the bacteria penetrates and moves fast (within hours to days) into urinary track, renal pelvis, ureter, balder and kidneys.

 How UTI is treated?

The strains of Mycoplasmas are the most complex co-infections to treat and the patient does not have to have the Lyme disease to have Mycoplasma.  The Metatron NLS is not only great in detecting Mycoplasma but also in weakening the Mycoplasma itself. The treatment protocol is based on the symptoms, the severity and location of the Mycoplasma.

NAC, Zinc and Vitamin E supplements along a very specific herbal protocol are just foundations of the Mycoplasma treatment. There are also many therapeutic herbs for treating UTI to chose from, like; Cranberry, Codonopsis, Astragalus, Cordyceps , Buchu, Juniper, Sida, Houttuynia and many more.

Cranberry juice, tincture or tablets have anti-adhesive, astringent and bacterio-static effect
